Pack & Reindex

After the Data Supplement is loaded, you should Pack & Reindex your files.

You will want to do this because the import process just added hundreds if not thousands of new records to your Remote Reporter database.

During the import process, records that had changed at F.A.C.T.S. offices are updated on your system to reflect the changes. The way this is done is by deleting the record in Remote Reporter's database and adding the newly updated record from the Data Supplement.

This process leaves deleted records in Remote Reporter's database, which can, over time, cause performance to suffer as Remote Reporter has to skip over more and more deleted records while generating reports.

Pack & Reindex solves this problem, and allows Remote Reporter to maintain top performance.
