Executing a Report

After you have made all your selections in the various selection fields, you are ready to execute (print or preview) your report.

One of the Execute buttons will be disabled, either Execute or ExecuteSQL - never both at the same time.

At this time, only Freight Bill Charges Info., Freight Bill Charges Type Summ, and In/Out Carrier Tonnage-MTD reports use the Execute button to run a report.

The rest of the reports all use ExecuteSQL to run a report.

When you click the appropriate button to execute your report, the following happens:

  1. Generally an SQL command executes to gather the data needed for the report.
  2. You are prompted whether to Print, Preview, or Export the report.
  3. You are prompted for the Printer to use.
  4. The report then displays or prints.

If the data selections you have made result in no matching records being located, most reports will give the following error dialog to inform you of the problem:

No Records found message
